APPLYING FOR A SCHOOL PLACE
Children with a date of birth between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021 start full-time school in September 2025. This first year is called ‘Reception’.
Solihull Admissions have confirmed that the applications for Reception will be open from Autumn 2024.
Even if your child attends Valley Primary School Nursery you will still need to apply for a Reception place.
If you live in Solihull you can apply online from October 2024.
Apply online at www.solihull.gov.uk/Schools-and-learning/School-admissions
Any appeals regarding school places will be managed by the Local Authority in line with the admissions policy.
An application can be made for a place for a child at any time outside the admission round and the child will be admitted where there are places available. An application should be made via the Local Authority by completing the in-year admissions application form which is available from: https://www.solihull.gov.uk/Schools-and-learning/School-admissions.
