Show our Valley value of kindness by making new friends
The School Council worked alongside the House Captains to run the games room at the Christmas Fair. The children organised each game, collected tokens and gave out prizes. They developed many real-life skills during the event and had great fun at the same time! They raised £263.50 for the School Council to use in their School-based projects.
On NSPCC Number day, we helped to count the sweets in the jar to find the winning children from both sites.
We have been working with the PTFA to improve the Playground Areas on both sites and the Outdoor Area of EYFS. Look out for our new equipment coming soon!
This half term, we have been working very hard to raise money for ‘Save the Children’ and to develop our playground areas at Valley. How much did we raise? Read our the latest edition of the Pupil Leadership News to find out
Our Playground Refurbishment, using the money raised through the various events this year, started this week with the arrival of the picnic tables we voted to buy. We are sure you will agree they look fabulous! Look out for further improvements over the next few weeks.
The subject of the Ukraine crisis came up and we decided we would prefer to hold a 'Peace Day' raising money for Save the Children's Ukraine Appeal and Comic Relief. We voted to have a non-uniform day and Peace Day activities. This raised £547.60 which was split equally between the two charities.
We asked children to bring in their old and unwanted books and were inundated! The children were very excited and enjoyed choosing new books to read. We raised £273 towards our Playground refurbishment. Look out for our new equipment, benches and picnic tables coming soon!
We held a school council meeting and decided to raise money for Children in Need and to improve the outdoor playgrounds by purchasing new benches for both the Infant and Junior sites. With great success, we raised a fantastic £386! We have now split this money and have donated half - £193 to Children in Need.
